The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is currently unveiling its 2022 – 2026 Strategic Plan (SP) and the 2023 Election Project Plan (EPP) to the public.
The event is being attended by 37 Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs), including the host REC of the Federal Capital Territory.
There are also representatives of civil society organisations, international development partners, and diplomats.
The 2022-2026 Strategic Plan (SP) and the 2023 Election Project Plan (EPP) are the outcome of a comprehensive review of the 2017 – 2021 SP and the 2019 EPP.
The SP is a blueprint designed to help INEC develop a pragmatic road map that will serve as a practical guide for its work in the next five years.
The EPP is a collection of activities of departments and directorates with their guidelines for the successful conduct of the 2023 General Election.
