The Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, has reportedly died in a helicopter crash in the United States.
Wigwe was on a Eurocopter EC130 chopper with five other people when the helicopter crashed late Friday night near Nipton, a California community about 60 miles south of Las Vegas.
The US Federal Aviation Administration said no one survived the crash as of Saturday morning. Several media reports say Wigwe’s wife and son were aboard the aircraft, but Nigeria Info could not confirm that.
A former president of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (now Nigeria Exchange Limited), Abimbola Ogunbanjo, was reportedly also on the helicopter. We will bring you more details as we get them.
