EFCC Questions Bobrisky Over Naira Abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, a.k.a Bobrisky, for allegedly abusing the naira.

A post on its official X account on Thursday confirmed the commencement of investigation into Bobrisky's alleged spraying of naira notes. 

According to the commission, a video report shows the "spraying and flaunting wads of new naira notes" at the premiere of Hollywood actor and producer, Eniola Ajao's new film, Ajakaju. 

The event took place on 24 March 2024 at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki. 

The EFCC further added that the 31-year-old committed the alleged offence at "some other events and parties at different times."

Bobrisky arrived the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC for interrogation on Wednesday.

He will be charged to court upon the completion of investigations, the commission said.
