Trade unions in Lagos State have given their support for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s second term bid.
The state leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), and other unions endorsed the governor at an event held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan to mark the 2022 International Workers’ Day.
The state chairman of the NLC, Comrade Funmilayo Sessi said Governor Sanwo-Olu deserves a second term because he has performed beyond expectation.
The other union leaders added that he has delivered on his campaign promises, in line with his government’s THEMES agenda.
THEMES is an acronym for Governor Sanwo-Olu’s five-point plan to handle *Traffic Management and Transportation, Health and Environment, Education and Technology, Making Lagos a 21 Century State, and Security and Governance.*
They said their endorsement is on behalf of millions of informal and formal workers in Lagos State.
