The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rejected governorship candidates submitted to it by seven political parties in different states of the federation.
Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, on Friday said the commission had taken delivery of additional 4.1 million Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) for distribution to registered voters.

In a statement in Abuja on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the call by Dasuki, during an event at the Chatham House in London on Thursday, had “exposed the hitherto clandestine plot by the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration to push for the postponement of the polls, using all sorts of cheap tricks.”
