Senate Committee Chairman on Communication has commended MTN’s 4G LTE Service Nigeria’s quest to achieve the targeted 30 percent National Broadband penetration by 2018 has received a major boost with the formal launch of MTN’s 4G LTE service, which had been operational since early September 2016.

Senator Gilbert Nnaji, who represented the Senate President, commended MTN for investing in LTE and said the roll out of the technology will further give impetus to the National Assembly's drive to enact laws that will leverage technology to accelerate the growth of businesses in the country.

Also speaking, MTN Chief Operating Officer, Mohammed Siddiqui re-established MTN’s commitment to serve Nigerians with quality, innovative and life-enriching products. With the launch of MTN 4G, customers can now enjoy better 4G broadband and high-speed browsing experience which is the fastest and most futuristic mobile internet access available in Nigeria today.

He reiterated that the deployment of MTN 4G LTE will not only enhance browsing experience across Nigeria, but will also accelerate the achievement of the country’s targeted broadband penetration objectives.

Existing and potential subscribers on MTN Network can visit the nearest customer service centres to upgrade their SIMs to U-SIMs for FREE and also purchase 4G MiFi devices (at an affordable rate of N5000) to allow for multiple users either at home or in the office. Subscribers are also encouraged to text 4G to 131 to check if they have compatible device and SIM card.
